Get ready for a day of glamour and greatness as the Nigeria Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) gears up for its second induction ceremony in May 2026! The event promises to be a star-studded affair, with the who’s who of Nigerian aviation coming together to celebrate the industry’s finest.
The maiden edition in May 2023 set the bar high, inducting legends like Capt Robert Hayes, Nigeria’s first pilot, Dr Harold Demuren, a stalwart of aviation safety, and other trailblazers who defied odds to shape the country’s aviation landscape.

This year, a new crop of visionaries is set to join their ranks, recognized for their outstanding contributions to the industry.
A panel of esteemed aviators is currently sifting through nominations, identifying individuals who embody the values of resilience, innovation, and a commitment to safety. These unsung heroes have worked tirelessly behind the scenes, pushing boundaries and breaking barriers to take Nigerian aviation to new heights.

The NAHF induction ceremony is more than just an awards night – it’s a celebration of passion, perseverance, and patriotism.
As Wole Shadare, Co-Organizer of NAHF, puts it, “Induction into the Nigerian Aviation Hall of Fame is the highest honor our domestic industry can bestow on individuals who sacrificed their lives, time, and resources for the development of the country’s aviation.”
The event is being organized with the backing of the Ministry of Aviation and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
This year’s NAHF will feature the unveiling of the new inductees, followed by a commemorative magazine launch. Portraits of the honorees will be displayed at prominent airports across Nigeria, serving as a lasting testament to their contributions.
“Mark your calendars for May 2026, and get ready to celebrate the men and women who are taking Nigerian aviation to new heights,” says Shadare
