When Mr and Mrs Wale Aregbesole decided to say bye bye to America after close to two decades stay, what was top on mind was to return and fit into one of the white collar, money spinning businesses, to meet their high taste in a slow developing country like Nigeria.
Little wonder they went strait into travels business by setting up Reliable Travels, with its headquarters, at that time, on Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Aregbesolas
But inquisitive minds travels with the speed of light and is fast in identifying fertile grounds. Intuition propelled Wale Aregbesole to detect the insatiable crave of Nigerians for nourishing, decent and sumptuous food. And he went for it.
Armed with the background of local food cooking, his mother being a notable food seller in Ado Ekiti in the 1970s to 80s, with stunning material achievements, it was easy to convince Iya Ibeji, the wife, to drop her flourishing novelty store in the heart of Ikeja, to be a strong partner in the newly discovered twist.
Around 2018, Food Headquarters was birthed, standing attractively on No 7, Olowu Street, off Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos.
And like a wild fire in harmattan season, there was a boom. Food Headquarters was able to put other rival eateries around Ikeja on their toes with bellysoothing meals that keep customers thronging to have a bite of their array of menu, ranging from pastries to African and intercontinental food; with stew and soup which arome alone one may perceive to eat balls of Semovita.
Engr Sanya Adebolu of the West Africa Examination Council has this to say: “I’ve been patronizing Food Headquarters in the past six years and there has never been a day I miss the taste. They have been consistent in maintaining standard and even adding customer friendly innovations that are irresistible.”
Also corroborating Adebolu are Ifeoluwa Omotinugbon of the Federal Road Safety Corps and Said Balogun, a popular Nigerian Nollywood artist.

Today, like a Phoenix, the proverbial Roman bird, Food Headquarters has began to procreating the way of a pig, signaling the gain of persistence in excellence.
With a branch taken to Jibowu, Yaba Lagos less than two years ago, Food Headquarters is again telling Lagosians to faster their seat belt for alother flight as another branch springs up in Ogba, Lagos Monday, March 10, 2025.
