The festive atmosphere was further amplified by remarks from Remi Jibodu, Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head of Aeronautics & Cargo Services at BASL, who thanked the airlines and passengers that have supported BASL throughout the year, saying, “It is for them that we pause at this time of the year to reflect and celebrate, symbolically lighting up the terminal for the Yuletide season. ‘Detty December’ truly begins here at MMA2, the gateway to the festive experience.”

Olutayo Oladipo, Group Head, High‑Value Segment & Diaspora Banking at Wema Bank, highlighted the bank’s readiness for the holiday rush, emphasizing responsible financial habits alongside the celebrations.

“We are fully ready for ‘Detty December’ and have chosen to bring our festive campaign to the airport,” Oladipo said. “We encourage passengers to enjoy the season while also saving wisely, and we remain committed to supporting our customers with innovative financial solutions throughout the holiday period.”
