NAHCO fetes stakeholders, says “you’re the reason we excel”

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Aviance) on Friday, 5 December 2025, celebrated its record‑breaking performance with a stakeholders’ dinner, crediting the support of its partners for the company’s continued success.

The event, held at the company’s headquarters, brought together airline executives, cargo agents, regulators and other key stakeholders to thank them for their collaboration.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr Seinde Oladapo Fadeni, said NAHCO values every client. “We just cannot thank you enough. You are the reason NAHCO is doing so well and setting the standard in the entire sub‑region,” he declared, reaffirming the company’s commitment to enhancing service quality and implementing measures that will further improve delivery.

Group Executive Director, Commercial & Business Development, Prince Saheed Lasisi, highlighted NAHCO’s sustained leadership in the Nigerian aviation sector. “We have maintained our leadership position by consistently setting the benchmark for excellence,” he said. Prince Lasisi reiterated the company’s dedication to safe, efficient and reliable services, noting that continued investment in equipment overhaul and a comprehensive renewal of the ground‑support fleet, coupled with a highly skilled workforce, have strengthened NAHCO’s ability to deliver.

Safety, he added, remains paramount: “Safety above everything. That is what NAHCO is known for. We don’t compromise on safety. With the progress we have made and the partnerships we continue to nurture, we are confident in our capacity to deliver even greater value in the years to come.”

Prince Lasisi also outlined recent strides in ground‑support equipment (GSE) acquisition and cargo‑optimization technology. Over the past three years, NAHCO has added more than 271 new GSEs, a figure he described as “just the tip of the iceberg.” He announced that in a single month the company brought 35 new tractors into the country, all of which have been commissioned, and pledged a complete refleet of its GSEs so that “you will only see new GSEs when you see NAHCO working.”

On cargo handling, Prince Lasisi said NAHCO is investing in modern technology to prevent the rejection of perishable exports. “Our Export Processing Centre is the only facility of its kind in Nigeria, and we are working to replicate the same model across the country,” he said.

Stakeholders who attended the dinner praised NAHCO’s service delivery and rapid response during emergencies. Representatives of major international and domestic airlines, regulators and cargo agents commended the company’s reliability and commitment to excellence.

NAHCO’s record‑breaking performance, underpinned by strong partnerships, underscores its position as a leading ground‑handling service provider in the region and sets a benchmark for the industry.
