Arik Air takes flight at Nigeria’s inaugural nternational airshow

Arik Air will be a headline exhibitor at the maiden Nigeria International Airshow, set to run from December 2‑4, 2025 at the Abuja Convention Centre.

The three‑day event, organized by the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, aims to position aviation as a catalyst for economic growth across Africa and is expected to draw commercial and business operators, aircraft manufacturers, regulators, defence and aerospace institutions, government agencies and high‑level investors from the global aviation ecosystem.

The airline said its participation is a strategic move to reinforce its market presence, showcase its evolving brand and reconnect with local and international partners, policymakers and industry influencers.

Speaking on the development, Arik Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, described the inaugural airshow as a “significant milestone for the country’s aviation sector.”

He added that Arik Air’s presence aligns with its vision of building a globally admired air‑services brand driven by strong safety standards, operational excellence and quality service delivery, while projecting a positive image of Nigeria on the world stage.

Captain Ilegbodu also commended the Federal Government’s efforts to lay a solid foundation for sustainable growth in the aviation industry, stressing that such initiatives are vital for long‑term sector development.

Arik Air expressed confidence that the Nigeria International Airshow will mark a new chapter in aviation development and reaffirmed its readiness to contribute meaningfully to the event’s success and to the future growth of air transport in Nigeria and the wider African region.
