El-Rufai
Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
This decision comes after El-Rufai expressed his disappointment with the APC’s leadership and trajectory, stating that the party has strayed from its founding democratic principles and progressive ideals.
El-Rufai’s resignation letter cited the APC’s failure to address its internal issues as one of his reasons for leaving.
He emphasized his contributions to the APC, including his role as a founding member and his efforts to secure the party’s election victories in 2015, 2019, and 2023.
The former governor’s decision to join the SDP is seen as a significant move, as he plans to engage with other opposition leaders and parties to challenge the APC in future elections.
El-Rufai has called on his supporters and other concerned citizens to join him in the SDP, with the goal of making Nigeria a beacon of pride for Africans and the Black Race.
